Jewish (BSA)

The mission of the National Jewish Committee on Scouting (NJCOS) is to prepare young Jews to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of Judaism as expressed in the Boy Scout Oath and Law. These emblems have been developed by the National Jewish Committee on Scouting for Jewish Scouts and may only be awarded to Jewish Scouts.

Before ordering a religious emblem medal the youth needs to have completed the requirements for his/her emblem and the final review with his/her counselor. The next step is to “Register Youth” (i.e. provide information on the youth, congregation, clergy, etc.) for submission in reports sent to the National Jewish Committee on Scouting and the Boy Scouts of America. Once you have completed this step you will be able to place your order (you do NOT need to mail in the signed application forms). Records for emblems earned are maintained by P.R.A.Y.
